Another Way to Help with College Tuition Costs

SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards®

College tuition costs are getting crazier every year – I think everyone pretty much knows that. As far as saving for that big bill, most parents enroll in a 529 Plan.  (For those who don’t know, a 529 Plan is an education savings plan operated by a state or educational institution designed to help families set aside funds for future college costs. Check with your financial institution to learn more about it.)

There’s another vehicle that can also help with those costs – The SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards® Program.  It’s a point system earned annually based on the value of investments made at financial partners participating in the program, where each point equals a $1.00 discount off tuition. Read more about, and sign up for Tuition Rewards, if desired, here:

The Philadelphia Inquirer, news source for Philadelphia and South Jersey, discusses the program in a recently posted article entitled, “Daily Money Tip: Tuition Reward gives points toward college costs.” (You can read the full article here:

As the Inquirer noted, “The Tuition Reward Points program offers discounts off the ‘list price’ of college when you make deposits to a qualifying account at a participating institution. Similar to frequent flier miles, you save and you earn points, which add up to dollars off of the college price tag.”

You also may not know that the College Career Ready Academy also participates in this program. Parent enrolling their child will receive dollar-for-dollar tuition credit at over 350 private colleges across the country with SAGE Scholars Tuition Rewards®.
